It’s been an exciting summer for the credit union, and me personally! As you may have noticed, my name has changed after I got married this summer – same Denise, just a new last name!

As for the credit union, it’s been a busy summer of helping members with their finances, as well as enhancing security while making life more convenient for you. We have some new initiatives that I’m very excited to mention to you!

This summer, we’ve been on the move in all of our branch communities, performing acts of kindness with the GSCU Street Team as part of our Good Neighbor Initiative. We’ve given out Deerfield Fair tickets in Candia, Rock N’ Ribfest tickets in Nashua, volunteered at the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness and Families in Transition in Manchester. Overall, we’ve performed over 30 acts of kindness ranging from donations, surprising locals with “free samples”, to volunteering at area charities. It’s been a busy summer but wonderful to help out NH communities, meet new people, and see some member faces during our outings!

We’ve also been helping members with their loans. Just because Anything that Moves has ended, doesn’t mean we can’t help you! Are you in need of a reliable ride before the winter snow comes? We’re here to help with budget-friendly loan options. Or maybe you’d like to enjoy the colder months with a snowmobile - we can help with that too! And even if you’re just looking to consolidate debt or need some cash for holiday shopping, our personal loans are here for your unique needs.

As for new projects, we are happy to announce we have some great things coming!

First, as of today, you can choose to “Take the Holidays Off”, skip your consumer loan payment, by simply filling out our online form. You no longer have to fill out a form in-branch or print the form and scan it back to us – you can simply click this link, fill out your information, and we’ll do the rest!

Later this year we’ll be offering Online Account Opening! Whether you’re a new member just opening your first accounts at GSCU, or a long-time member looking to open another checking or savings, this allows you to do so anytime, anywhere. And from our new online account opening service, you can also apply for a consumer loan from your mobile device! Watch our website for updates!

Another item coming later this year is “Hand-Scan Sign In” at each of our branch locations. “Hand-Scan Sign In” makes your branch visits faster, easier, and more secure! After our enrollment period, each teller window will have a station to scan your palm using an infrared sensing device to detect your unique, palm vein pattern and matching it to your member profile. This means you’ll no longer have to show your ID or sign for your teller transactions, making your branch visits faster and easier for you!

Finally, we’re celebrating Credit Union Day for a whole week in all of our branches. Stop by for giveaways October 15 - October 19, 2018. And in honor of the credit union industry’s founding principle of “people helping people” we’ll be making $500 donations to five members’ favorite local charities. Simply tell us about your favorite charity at and five winning charities will be selected at random and we’ll announce the winners on Credit Union Day.
