2018 was a busy year full of exciting ideas and projects! As we head into the New Year we look forward to showcasing some new member benefits to you.
Our new “Hassle Free Home Improvement Loan” allows you to borrow the money needed to fund your renovations, without requiring equity in your home, an appraisal, closing costs, or a lien placed on the property! Did you spend the holidays watching HGTV like I did? Get those dream projects completed with a little help from GSCU.
We also rolled out some other new loan opportunities especially designed for our younger members, or those who haven’t been able to buy their first home in the past. We introduced several new first-time homebuyer programs in 2018 and we continue to enhance our offerings to become your first stop in the home buying process! Starting this Spring we’ll be offering First-Time Homebuyer seminars, with food, prizes, and basic information on everything you need to know to kick off your home-buying experience! Our mortgage and branch staff are always available to offer their guidance if needed and our convenient online application can get you started.
In November, our Manchester branch was the first GSCU location to offer “Hand-Scan Sign In” which makes branch visits faster, easier, and more secure! Each teller window has a station to scan your palm, using an infrared sensing device, to detect your unique, palm vein pattern and matches it to your member profile. Members in Manchester no longer have to show their ID or sign for their teller transactions, making the branch visits easier and faster for our members! We will be rolling out this technology at the rest of our branches throughout the beginning of 2019. Members are loving the security and convenience of Hand-Scan technology!
Also on the horizon, we’ll soon be offering Online Account Opening! Open your first accounts at GSCU, or open additional checking or savings, anytime, anywhere. It’s never been easier to become a member!
We continue to look at ways to make your lives easier and more convenient when it comes to your credit union experience. As always, it’s an honor to be your financial institution and we love to hear from you. Contact me directly via the “Talk to the CEO” button on our website and share your thoughts! Have a wonderful New Year!
