Sunshine, warmth, summer vacations, ice cream, and all the little things that make this time of year so amazing are finally here! While summer is our busiest time at the credit union, it is also one of the most wonderful times because we get to do so many fun things for our members, communities, and in our own lives as well! 

We’ve been having a great time getting out into our communities once again especially in celebration of the Nashua location. Did you join the one year anniversary celebration? Check out the event video here! Maybe you saw us at the High Hopes Foundation’s NH Bacon and Beer Festival? Catch us there again next year! 

While we have more fun planned around the state this summer, we’re also offering financial education to our members with virtual seminars!  We’ll be hosting more seminars in the coming months including a Home Renovation Financing Option Seminar and a Credit Report 101 Seminar. The Home Renovation Financing Option Seminar will review the financing options available, the benefits of each, which is right for you and how to apply. I know the last couple of years have sparked some major renovation dreams for all of us and with home inventory so low, it may be easier to renovate your current house into the home of your dreams rather than buy something new. From small projects to large, this seminar will help you discover the right GSCU loan that best suits your unique needs and help make those home improvements a reality! Members really enjoyed our Credit 101 seminar in April which helped them get on the path to paying off debt and improving their credit scores. This seminar includes an overview of credit reports and what makes up your credit score, as well as tips for improving your score! Watch for registration information on these seminars coming soon! This is a great session to refer your teens or college students to so they get off on the right foot managing their credit for life. 

Also, we are focused on construction at our new Rochester location! Located at 7 Two Rod Road, the branch will feature an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) Teller Line, private offices to conduct business with our Branch Specialists, three drive-up ITM lanes, ample parking, and more! Keep watching your email and GSCU’s social media for updates about this exciting new location, slated to open later this summer! 

In addition to community outreach, the credit union is hard at work helping members with all of their financial needs! Our member-favorite loan promotion, Anything that Moves, launched in April and we’ve been helping members finance new and used vehicles and toys, as well as refinancing their loans to GSCU from other institutions to lower their rate and monthly payment! We received over 3,000 loan applications in April and May alone! We’ve got money to lend, interest rates to help you save, and the payment and term options to meet your monthly budget! We’ve also been working with New Hampshire auto and recreational dealers and know there is inventory out there to get you in a new ride or help you enjoy the warmer months in a new camper or other toy!
