What is Mobile Deposit?
Mobile Deposit allows members to deposit checks utilizing their smartphone or tablet devices.

What accounts can I use for Mobile Deposit?
You can deposit money in all of your Granite State Credit Union share accounts.

Are there restrictions when taking a picture of the check?
When taking an image of a check, front or back, please make sure all four corners of the check are in view.

Is there a fee to use Mobile Deposit?
No. There is no fee to utilize this convenient service.

Do I need to endorse the check I am depositing?
Yes. You must endorse your check as follows: "For Mobile Deposit Only at GSCU" and your signature.

 
When will the funds be deposited and available within my account?
Funds will be deposited into your account within two (2) business days and will follow GSCU's regular funds availability schedule. Please refer to our Funds Availability Disclosure.

What do I do with the physical check once it has been deposited?
The physical check should be retained in a secure location for a period of ninety (90) days. After this period expires you can destroy the check.

What do I need in order to access Mobile Deposit?
1) An account with Granite State Credit Union
2) A smartphone (iPhone® or Android®) an iPad® or Android® tablet.
3) The latest version of the Granite State Credit Union Mobile App. The iPhone and iPad tablet App are available in the Apple Store and the Android phone and tablet App are available in the Google Play Store. Just search for Granite State Credit Union.

What are the requirements in order to utilize Mobile Deposit?
You must be registered for Online Banking and you must have a valid email address.

What are the deposit limits?
$5,000.00 limit per deposit and $5,000.00 limit per day.

Should I be concerned with the security of Mobile Deposit?
At Granite State Credit Union our priority is to protect the security of your account. We take precautions to safeguard your account information. There are steps you may take to protect yourself and account:
What if my check is not accepted?
Verify that all of the information is correct on the check and that it is endorsed properly. Verify that the check amount matches the amount written within the legal line of the check, verify that the back of the check is endorsed. Make sure the check does not have folded or crumpled edges before submitting an image and make sure all four corners of the check are in view.

Are there any types of checks that cannot be submitted using Mobile Deposit?
1) Any item that is stamped with a "non-negotiable" watermark.
2) Any item that contains evidence of alteration to the information on the check.
3) Any item issued by a financial institution in a foreign country.
4) Any item that is incomplete.
5) Any item that is "stale dated"* or "post dated"**.
6) Savings Bonds.
7) Third party checks***.

*Stale dated checks are defined as any check that is deposited more than six months after the date on the check.
**Post dated checks are defined as any check that is deposited before the date on the check.
***Third party checks are defined as checks that have been transferred by the original payee to a third party by means of an endorsement.

Can I view a copy of my check after it has been deposited?
Yes, select "View Deposit History" and then select the deposit you would like to view and then select "View Check". You will then be able to view the front and back of the check that was deposited.

Can I deposit into more than one account using Mobile Deposit?
Yes, you can deposit into any savings or checking account you are a signer on.

What if my check is rejected?
If your check is rejected you can visit any one of our convenient locations to deposit the check. You can also mail your deposit to:
