Now Available - Touch ID and Multi-Tasking

We've recently enabled Touch ID for Apple iPhone users. Touch ID offers an easier, faster, and more secure way to access our Mobile Banking app, simply using your fingerprint! Simply touch the Home button to verify your fingerprint and log on.

The update will also include the ability to multi-task which means you can switch apps briefly and return to the Mobile Banking app without have to reauthenticate or login again.

What is Touch ID?
Touch ID is an alternative to logging into the Mobile Banking app. With Touch ID, you use your fingerprint rather than typing in your login information.
 
Can I use Touch ID to login to the GSCU Mobile Banking App?
If you have the GSCU Mobile Banking app installed on an iPhone 5s or above and are running iOS 8 or above you can utilize Touch ID.

How do I use Touch ID rather than typing in my login information?
Enable Touch ID within the settings in the Mobile Banking app.

If my fingerprint isn’t recognized, can I still login to my account?
You can still login to the Mobile Banking app by typing in your login information.

Can I use Touch ID to login if I have other people’s fingerprints stored on my device?

Any fingerprint stored on the device can be used to access the Mobile Banking app. You should only enable Touch ID within the app if you’re the only person who has registered fingerprints on your device. You can also add or remove fingerprints in your device settings.

How do I disable Touch ID?
You can disable Touch ID through the settings menu of the Mobile Banking app or in your device’s settings by deleting all registered fingerprints.

What if my Touch ID-enabled phone is lost or stolen?
 If your device was lost or stolen or feel that your login credentials are compromised contact eServices immediately by emailing eServices@gscu.org. We also suggest you contact your wireless service provider to deactivate the device.

Will my fingerprint be stored in the app or elsewhere within GSCU?

No. Your fingerprints are not stored in the Mobile Banking app or kept within GSCU.

Do you support Touch ID for Android and other OS's?

Currently Touch ID is only supported for Apple iPhone 5s or above and running iOS 8. At this time we do not have a release date as to when this feature will be available with other OS's. We will update the membership as soon as we have that information.
